Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball athletes competed in the annual Maple Lake Cross Country Invitational on Friday, Aug. 31, at Ney Park. Seventeen area teams participated in the always highly-anticipated event. HLWW’s Gracie Mallak took top honors in the girls’ 5000 Meter Run with a 19:50.20 mark; while Augustus Demarais of Maple Lake finished second, with a time of 20:14.00; and third place went to Maple Lake’s Sophie Pribyl, at 20:28.00.
