EV-W/K track and field enjoys excellent State meet

As was the case the entire season, the tracksters shined bright at the state tournament last weekend. Seven out of the eight participants received all-State honors! The all-state athletes were Holly Loch (5th in long jump), Anna Donnay (7th in 3200M), Hannah Ehlinger (tied for 7th in high jump), and the 4×400 relay for the boys finished 4th. Relay members were Jevonte Victor, Hayden Gagnon, Zach Garding and Matt Notch.

“We competed well in other events at the state meet but didn?Äôt quite get in the top 9,” said coach Jason Mortenson.

Those competitors are Greg Lux (110 high hurdles, 11th place, triple jump), Matthew Notch (400M 10th place) and Hayden Gagnon (high jump). Matthew Notch set a new school record in the 400M dash, and the 4×400 relay broke their previous record. “These athletes represented our communities very well! Congratulations!” said coach Mortenson. The EV-W/K 4×400 relay team finished fourth in State: Zach Garding, Matt Notch, Jevonte Victor, and Hayden Gagnon.
