EVC4P seeks new members

·

Eden Valley Citizens 4 Progress (EVC4P) has been in progress since it began as Healthy Communities Partnership (HCP) in 2010. Since then, we have become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and have provided and organized numerous programs over the years.

The following is a list of programs we have hosted the past couple of years:

• Senior Bingo (2nd Wednesday of the month).

• February/March – Elementary Art/Writing Contest, Awards Ceremony, High School and Community Art Show.

• April – Tea Party and Fashion Show; Puzzle tournaments.

• May – Making Memories Father/Daughter Dance.

• June-August – Music in the Park twice each month.

• August – EV-W School Supply Drive.

• October – Puzzle tournaments.

• November/December – Letters to Santa.

• December (every-other year when the Holiday Train stops here) – Holiday Train Night at the Community Center.

For the most part, the same three or four people have volunteered in this organization and all the programs listed since our beginning. We are looking to slow down a little bit but don’t want to lose any of these great community events.

We are looking for new volunteers to join EVC4P. This doesn’t mean you would need to do everything listed (unless, of course, you really want to) but, if you see an event you would like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you. If three or four people (family members, groups, an organization, etc.) were to volunteer for a single annual event, these events may still be made available for our community’s enjoyment.

Sadly, if we don’t find new people willing to volunteer for these events, they may start to go away. We’d hate to see that happen and truly hope you would consider becoming part of EVC4P. Please email us at evcitizens4progress@gmail.com if you are interested in helping with any or all of these projects.
