Just like last summer, we are dealing with smoke spilling into the state of Minnesota from the Canadian wildfires found in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Officials say this is going to be “a long-term event” once again. Thankfully, the wildfires in northeastern Minnesota are nearly contained.
Weather fact: Did you know that ball lightning happens during thunderstorms? Researchers have found that it can “last more than a second, which is considered long-lived for lightning.” Despite this, it’s hard to “capture and study.”
