Experience the Escape Room at Cokato Museum

·

On Saturday, Feb. 19, the Cokato Museum’s Escape Room is back and “butter” than ever. You and your team of crack detectives will only have 45 minutes to “spread” out and search for clues to solve the mystery of the Butter Bandits. There is no “margarine” for error.

Although the case is based loosely on actual events, no prior knowledge of Cokato’s history is needed to play. The event is FREE, but groups will be required to provide a $20 refundable damage deposit. “If you play, you will never look at museums, puzzles, or history the same way,” states Johanna Ellison, Cokato Museum Director. “This game gives us a fresh way of encouraging people to check out the Cokato Museum.”

Groups consist of 4-6 people ranging in ages from 11-adult. Minors will need to be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older. Preregistration is required. The Escape Room is open during regular museum hours, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and is located at the Cokato Museum at 175 4th Street S.W. in Cokato. To sign up for the event and for more information please contact the staff at the Cokato Museum at (320) 286-2427, or visit our website http://www.cokatomuseum.org. The “Case of the Butter Bandits” only runs through Saturday, April 4, so catch it while you can.
