Extension has new farm information line

·

A farm information line is the newest way to get information from the University of Minnesota (U of M) Extension Service. The new toll-free number, (800) 232-9077, is staffed Mon- day – Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. After hours, callers can leave voice mail messages regarding their questions. The new farm information line will supplement, not replace, the ways that farmers can access the extension for farm-related information and education. Citizens can access extension information a number of ways: o Call Eric Sonnek at (320) 255-6169 or Dan Martens at (320) 968-5077, your local technical agricultural advisors. o Visit the extension Web site at www.extension.umn.edu. o Attend extension workshops, programs and meetings delivered by regional educators, campus faculty, and local technical advisors. o Call the farm information line toll-free at (800) 232-9077. For nearly a century, farmers have turned to the U of M Extension Service for research-based information they can count on.
