F.H. Farm adds kitchen, brick oven

·

Fairhaven Farm held an open house Saturday, Oct. 8, to show off its new kitchen and brick bread oven.  There was a large turnout on Saturday to sample the apple pies, apple crisp, pizza, soup, bread, coffee and cider that was served, according to Marsha Anklam, who along with husband David Mcgregor, own Fairhaven Farm. A patio area outside has also been constructed for dining. Marsha is also involved in a small catering service, called Cottage Gourmet, with sisters-in-law Barb Westman and Susan Hankerson. They are available to cater weddings, christenings, baptisms and small   parties. Marsha said the farm has a lot of pumpkins ready (pick-your-own) and lots of apples for sale at this time. They also offer a corn maze entitled “Alice in Wonderland,” hayrides on weekend afternoons (weather-permitting), and will have pumpkin tossing this Saturday afternoon (Oct. 15), using the trebuchet built by Fairhaven resident Rob Miller.
