Fair Haven single-vehicle crash

At about 8:42 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting that a female had arrived at a residence near County Road 44 and Ashview Road in Fair Haven Township with non-life-threatening injuries who said she had been in a vehicle crash.
Stearns County Deputies responded to the scene and found a heavily damaged 2006 Cadillac STS in the south ditch of County Road 44. The driver was later identified as Tina Marie Bowatz-Sliter, 54 of Clearwater. Further investigation revealed that Bowatz-Sliter was driving the Cadillac westbound on County Road 44 approaching a curve near Ashview Road. The Cadillac crossed the center line and proceeded into the south ditch, hitting a road approach to Ashview Road, and it rolled. Bowatz-Sliter was the sole occupant of the Cadillac. She was later transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Watkins Ambulance for treatment of her injuries. The roads were icy at the time of the crash.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Kimball Fire Department and Watkins Ambulance Service.
