The Kimball School Board held their regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022.
The consent agenda was approved including hiring a special education para/teacher, accepting resignations from two paras and a part-time custodian, and the termination of two Cubs Club paraprofessionals.
The principals reported on a thank you to the board for the listening sessions with teachers, One Act Play performances, Advanced Woods and Metals students’ project for CMBA, A Honor Roll celebration, additional courses added to the course registration guide, School Board Recognition Week, School Bus Appreciation Week, virtual visit with Mike Schultz, Kindness Week, second-grade tubing at Powder Ridge, Elementary Principal’s conference, Kindergarten registration night, staffing for next year, and a return of Kindercamp coming this summer.
Superintendent Widvey reported on School Board Recognition Week, EMK follow up survey results, high school parking lots, staffing for 2022-2023, upcoming Food Service Management Contract requests for proposal process.
The board adopted the MOU with EMK regarding substituting for sixth-grade teachers, the E Learning Plan for next year, and the 2022-2023 School Calendar. They also amended the current calendar changing March 28 to a non-student day, and the High School Course Registration Guide was approved for 2022-2023.
