NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota statute, Chapter 116, that C. Larson Family Farms Inc. has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The proposed feedlot will be located in the South Half of the Northeast Quarter, North Half of the Southeast Quarter, and Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Maine Prairie Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. The proposed buildings will be a 122?Äô by 496?Äô gestation building with a 122?Äô by 496?Äô by 10?Äô poured, reinforced concrete pit; a 154?Äô by 273?Äô6?Äù farrowing building with a 154?Äô by 273?Äô6?Äù by 10?Äô poured, reinforced concrete pit; an office/hallway/utility structure measuring 3,063 square feet with a concrete slab floor; a 36?Äô by 48?Äô garage with a concrete slab floor; and a 50?Äô by 80?Äô compost storage building with a concrete slab floor. The proposed facility will consist of 2,460 swine over 300 pounds for a total of 984 animal units in total confinement barns. Manure storage areas are poured, reinforced concrete pits.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota state law.
