An EV-W junior has been named co-CMC female athlete of the week for the week of Oct. 1-5. Outside hitter Ellie Schmaltz went 29-32 with 12 aces at the serving line. She also recorded eight kills and 17 digs to help lead the Eagles in wins over Upsala and Paynesville. Schmaltz shared honors with Maple Lake freshmen cross country runner Sophie Pribyl.
