The subject of the search warrant was witnessed leaving the residence in a motor vehicle prior to the search warrant execution, and a traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle by the Litchfield Police Department. The driver fled in the motor vehicle, and the pursuit continued for about 1.1 miles before the suspect crashed their vehicle at CSAH 1 and West Ripley Street in Litchfield.
A 39-year-old Litchfield man was taken into custody on charges of fleeing, and controlled substance.
During execution of the search warrant, about 50 fentanyl pills, more than 10 ounces of methamphetamine, and a large amount of cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales were located and seized as evidence.
