Fifth-graders at Kimball Elementary School recently had the opportunity to learn about cancer as part of their health class. Mrs. Audrey Novak, media specialist for the Kimball school district told the class about chemotherapy, radiation and healthy living. She also answered any questions the students had about her experience with cancer. Mrs. Novak told the fifth-graders that when she lost her hair she threw it to the birds to use in their nests. The students in Mrs. Herrington’s and Mrs. Wirth’s classes would like to thank Mrs. Novak for teaching us about cancer. Submitted by
