The Forest City Threshers will hold its annual craft and flea market, parade and various other activities from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 18-19, featuring John Deer farm implements. There will be a parade at 1 p.m. each day; an antique tractor pull Saturday after the 1 p.m. parade; craft and flea market (for more information call Betty at (320) 693-8781 or Linda at (320) 693-6867); free kids pedal tractor pull at 2:30 p.m. Sunday for ages 4-11; raffle ($5 per ticket, only 1,000 tickets sold) – $1,000 first prize, $500 second prize, $100 3rd-4th prize, and $50 5th-10th prize; food on the grounds; French toast breakfast with sausage and eggs 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday; roast beef dinner daily 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; live music, saw mill; gas engines; stationary steam engines; District 74 school house, blacksmith shop; curiosity corner; camping, corn shredding; threshing; and horses on display. Cost: $4 adults (one day), $7 (two-day pass), and children 12 and younger admitted free. Forest City Threshers is located 5 miles north of Litchfield on Hwy. 24 (follow signs) and is across the road from the Forest City Stockade.
