Frank Bennett died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his residence in Las Vegas, Nev. He was 66.
Memorial services will be at 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, with Rev. Bridget Haefner officiating. Friends may call at 11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be at Maine Prairie Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Triple R Grill & Bar in Kimball.
Frank Bennett was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Forest Prairie Township, Meeker County, to Alvin ‘Rusty’ and Mildred (Brower) Bennett. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1961.
He owned and operated Golden Bear Packaging in San Jose, Calif. from 1983 to 1994. For the past 12 years, he was a sports handicapper in Las Vegas. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a world traveler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Glenn and Gene Bennett.
He is survived by his daughters Terri Bennett (and Greg) Miller of Indianapolis, Ind., Tracey Ann (and Tony) Collier of Shelbyville, Ind., Lisa Jane Bennett of Indianapolis, Ind., and their mother Susan Abel; also three grandchildren Alexander Bennett, Hannah Nicole Collier, and Grace Miller; brothers Robert of Buffalo, Gary (and Dorie) of Wyoming, Minn., and sister Betty (and Fred) Gross of Oak Creek, Wis.; also 10 nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Ardis Rogers.
Memorials are preferred to the National Pancreas Foundation.
