The 3rd annual “Good as New” garage sale will take place at the Marketplace, 110 South 2nd Street in Waite Park, near Outback Steakhouse and Waite Park Dollar Stare Plus. The sale will run from Thursday, Oct. 9 ,through Saturday, Oct. 18, to raise funds for programming on Spirit 93, central Minnesota’s contemporary Christian music radio station at 92.9 FM. The hour of the sale are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. each day. The sale will run until Saturday, Oct. 18 ,unless the merchandise is sold before that date. The sale will be closed Sunday. The “Good as New” garage sale will feature some traditional and not-so-traditional garage sale items including furniture, clothing, antiques, many bikes, soft drink dispensers, arcade games, sporting items, old records, appliances and many other items. “We combed the community, including manufacturers and retailers, asking for help,” said Wayne Paquin of Spirit 93. Community members and businesses are welcome and encouraged to continue to bring “good as new” items as long as the sale goes on. All proceeds go to the Spirit Fund at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, a public charity to support programming on Spirit 93.
