Zach Garding participated in the Breakthrough Advantage Lift-off competition Wednesday, Jan. 25, at River of Life Church in Cold Spring. His participation in the event gave Kimball Schools a $500 check to be used on upgrades in the fitness center. Currently the weight room is open daily before school for students in a college Body Fitness class, and after school for those not in a winter sport.
Zach said the competition was fun and inspirational as students were cheering, and a live band was performing as the athletes competed with each other.
The Central Minnesota Conference schools will also have a weight training competition Monday, March 13, at Howard Lake. All students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to participate from Kimball and the seven other CMC schools. A bus will transport students after the first day of track and softball practice to Howard Lake for the competition. It should be a fun night for our athletes to compete against others in our conference.
