The Cokato Museum is pleased to announce the opening of its latest exhibit, Getting Down To Earth: Images of Women Farmers. This traveling display, created by the organization Women in Sustainable Agriculture, opened Monday, Sept. 9. The goal of the display is to heighten awareness of the role of women in modern agriculture. These candid photos, taken over a period of several months during the mid-1990s, show how women are an integral part of farming. Personal commentary by many of the subjects show how they view their role as more that just that of a “farm wife.” Images of Women Farmers will run through Oct. 31.
