Feb. 21 was “Thinking Day” for local Girl Scouts. Troops from around the area gathered in Richmond for “Thinking Day”. Each troop was to represent a different country, and each girl had a “passport” which she got stamped at each “country.” The Girl Scout troop from Holy Cross School selected Georgia as their country. Jean Matua and her mother-in-law Nunu – a Georgian native – met with the girls before hand. The girls learned some interesting facts about Georgia, and got to taste khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread) especially made by Nunu (inset below).
