Feb. 1, 2007 Rockford 75 – Kimball 47 Rockford came to Kimball on Thursday night for a conference game. Kimball had a slow start, spotting the rockets 20 points before getting on track. Giving up 20 unanswered points is tough; you really have to battle to get back in it, we did, just didn’t have enough to close the gap. Kimball was lead by Brittnay Simmons 11 point. Felicia Menson had eight points, 12 rebounds, and Kayla Kastanek had eight points, 16 rebounds. Amanda Kuseske had five points; Mindy Hurrle, Krystal Mackereth and Holly Garding each added four points; and Mara Rippentrop rounded off the scoring with three points. Kimball, as a team, out-rebounded Rockford by pulling down 33 defensive rebounds and 22 offensive boards Kimball 2-14(0-9) overall were to take on HLW-W at Howard Lake Tuesday, Feb. 6. The Feb. 8 game against St. Johns is Senior Night; come out and say thank you to the seniors for their years of hard work. Also, during half time, the fifth- and sixth-grade girls traveling basketball team will be playing, so come out and cheer the future on as well. Thanks to everyone who pack the gym on $1 night; our fans are really appreciated and the girls enjoy playing in front of big crowds. Also as a side note, the ice cream cake afterwards was good. Thanks. Nathan Schwieters, head girls basketball coach Kimball High School
