Golfers ‘pick a Loop, pack a bag’ in golf program

The new “Pick a Loop, Pack a Bag and Play Away” program from the Joel Goldstrand Golf Trail of Minnesota provides a rare opportunity to play golf on some unique courses while exploring Minnesota. Joel Goldstrand is a former PGA Tour Professional, a club pro and he currently designs golf courses. He has organized 41 of his courses into 21 different trail loops. Each loop is a two-to-four-day golf trip planned to allow easy drives and enjoyable golf at discounted rates. Every loop includes beautiful scenery and a variety of golf courses with challenges for golfers at all levels. Tee times are set to fit the traveling schedule and include 18 holes or 27 hole days. Two of the program’s “loops” are scheduled at the Kimball Golf Club. The first of these loops is called the “Highway 55 NW Corridor” and is scheduled to take place over three days. On day one, 18 holes will be played at the Whispering Pines course in Annandale. Day two includes nine holes at Brooten’s Prairie View Community course and 18 holes at the Minnewaska course in Glenwood. On day three golfers will play nine holes at the Prairie View Community course in Brooten, and 18 holes at the Kimball Golf Club. The second program in the Kimball area is called the “Highway 55 NW Plus” scheduled for three days. Golfers will play 18 holes at Whispering Pines in Annandale, 18 holes at the Kimball Golf Club and 18 holes at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell. Nineteen loops are offered for golfers.
