Good Riddance (The Time of Your Life) = Homecoming 2009

Kimball Area High School will celebrate homecoming festivities beginning Sept. 20, with activities running through Sept. 25. The senior class and student government work together to coordinate events and make the week one of celebration for the students of Kimball Area High School. The senior class advisor is Amy Notch; student government is advised by Joanna Lentner.

The seniors chose a song from the band Green Day for their theme. The song’s title is “Good Riddance (The Time of Your Life).” The class colors for homecoming are black and lime green.

The king and queen candidates have been chosen by the senior class. Grades 8-12 will have voted for the king and queen; results will be announced Sunday, Sept. 20, at coronation.

The schedule of events for the week is as follows:

Sunday, Sept. 20, Coronation –

7 p.m. in the cafetorium; admission is $2 for adults/$1 for students.

Monday, Sept. 21, Theme: Get Up and Go/Pajama Day; Home Volleyball Match versus ACGC beginning at 6 p.m./Parents’ Night

Tuesday, Sept. 22, Theme: Jersey Day

Wednesday, Sept. 23, Theme: Wacky Wednesday

Thursday, Sept. 24, Theme: Class Act Day; Volleyball game – Junior boys versus senior boys at 8:30; Homecoming Volleyball match versus Holdingford at 7:30

Friday, Sept. 25, Theme: School Spirit Day; Powderpuff Game at 2 on the football field; Homecoming Football Game versus Holdingford at 7 p.m.; Dance for grades 9-12 from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. in cafetorium

Special thanks to Mestads Formal Wear for providing the tuxes for the king candidates and A.M. Maus and Son for providing transportation for the Homecoming Court during half-time of the football game.

The senior class and student government students are looking forward to an exciting and successful homecoming for 2009.
