Grace Castle, age 72, died on Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, at the Christian Church with Dennis Castle officiating. Burial followed in the Oswego Cemetery. Visitation was on Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Murdock Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Grace was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Guelph, N.D. to Harm and Gertrude (Hoting) Reiter. She married Dennis Castle on Oct. 21, 1948, in Redwood Falls, Minn. Dennis was pastor of the Kimball Church of Christ for several years. They have lived in Oswego, Mo., for 17 years, where she was a homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of the Christian Church there.

Grace Castle was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

She is survived by her husband Dennis; her children: Randy Castle of Claremont, Minn.; Dan Castle of Howard Lake; and Rita Mauk of Howard Lake; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ann Zaiser of Kansas City, Mo.; May Schmidt of Glenwood, Iowa; and Ruth Ballantyne of Cherokee, Iowa; brothers: Fred Reiter of California and Keith Reiter of Aurora, Colo.
