NOTICE OF APPLICATION
FOR A LIVESTOCK
FEEDLOT PERMIT
Legal notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, chapter 116, that Gregory Agribusiness LLC has made application to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/or proposed feedlot would be located in the SW 1⁄4 of the NE 1⁄4 of Section 08 Township 122 Range 29, Maine Prairie Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 770 animal units of mature milking cows (>1,000 lbs). The existing facility consists of multiple total confinement free stall barns, and a breezeway along with liquid and dry manure storage areas. There is also a feed pad on site for feed storage. The proposed expansion of the current facility will result in a total of 973 animal units (695 Hd of mature milking cows). The proposed facility will consist of the above-mentioned facilities and manure storage areas with an additional proposed 10’ lean to (total confinement) around the existing main free stall barn. Also a 60’ addition (total confinement) on the east and west side of the secondary free stall barn, and a 20’ lean to (total confinement) on the north side, this will be used for special needs and breeding cows.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of the property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota state law.
