Gruenes exhibits Grand Champion at State Fair

St. Paul – There was a total of 483 dairy cattle shown at the 2014 Minnesota 4-H Dairy Shows. The 4-H Dairy shows were held on the third day of the Minnesota State Fair, Saturday, Aug. 23. In addition to quality animals, 4-H youth must demonstrate their knowledge about the dairy industry. 4-H?Äôers learn important development and leadership skills
throughout their involvement with their projects and communities.

Ashley Gruenes, daughter of Arnie and Kris Gruenes of Richmond, represented Meeker County 4-H by exhibiting the Grand Champion Red & White Dairy Heifer at the 2014 Minnesota State Fair 4-H Dairy Show. Congratulations Ashley.

The 4-H Dairy Show at the Minnesota State Fair is one of the many educational events coordinated by University of Minnesota Extension and conducted by county educators and 4-H volunteers.
