Guy Hawkinson Sr., 61

Guy Hawkinson Sr. died suddenly at his Kimball home Sunday afternoon, April 1, 1979, of an apparent heart attack. He was 61.

The funeral services were held April 4, 1979, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Peter Seaberg officiating.

Guy Bartley Hawkinson Sr. was born Jan. 27, 1918, at Stockholm, S.D., to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hawkinson. After graduating from Milbank High School, he came to Annandale and was employed by uncle Walter Hawkinson, an International Harvestor dealer. He remained with International Harvestor as a mechanic his entire life, the past 13 years with Arnold’s of Kimball. On Nov. 29, 1941, he married Pearl Rundblade of Frederic, Wisc., at Benson, Minn. They made their home in Annandale and Kimball.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Dale.

He is survived by his wife Pearl, son Guy Hawkinson Jr., daughter-in-law Sharon; granddaughters Tammy and Debbie Hawkinson; brothers Conrad, Philip, and Bernard Hawkinson of California, and Earl Hawkinson of Marietta, Minn.; sister Lenore Graff of Marietta, Minn.; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Russell Rundblade Jr., Terry Rundblade, Lane Rundblade, Daryl Gunnarson, Andrew Maus, and Marvin Adolph. Organist was Mrs. Charles Fisher, and soloist was Diane Ashwill. Arrangements were handled by Dunton-Ferrell Funeral Home in Annandale.
