Happy 139th Birthday Cokato Open House

·

The Cokato Museum and Historical Society invites the public to its fourth annual Happy Birthday Cokato Open House from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Cokato Museum.

On March 9, 1878, the Village of Cokato was officially incorporated. With a population of fewer than 300 people surrounding the St. Paul and Pacific Railway station, the community certainly had humble beginnings. Now, 139 years later, we can look back at the story of not just the city of Cokato, but the surrounding area, and be proud of how well it has grown and thrived over the decades.

The museum will be open from 1-4 p.m., so visitors can see the many improvements made to the gallery, check out how our current Escape Room is set up, and enjoy the ?ÄúLost Cokato?Äù slide show seen at the recent Business Expo.

The museum is located at the corner of 4th Street SW and Millard Avenue in downtown Cokato. For more details, visit our web site, www.cokato,useum.org.
