After much deliberation, Brian Harff has decided to reopen his shop, Marshfield?Äôs Custom Cabinets. Over the years, and even recently, many people have asked him why he closed the shop down. He did not lack the work. After running the shop for more than 15 years, he felt the need to break away for a while.
Working as an employee helped him to better understand the ins and outs of how to treat employees, run a business, and customer relations. He began thinking again about his business, customers, and how he missed the interaction with them. Even though his shop was closed, he continued to receive many phone calls from referred and past customers, asking to do miscellaneous projects.
The pressure built and he had to make a decision, open the shop or say ?Äúno.?Äù The reason to reopen was his customers: past, present, and future. He missed seeing a customer?Äôs face light up when he saw a whole new kitchen or even a small remodel project.
He was willing to try to do anything from full scale custom homes to bars, mantles, pre-hung doors, barn doors, or whatever comes his way.
His family, (wife Diane, children Morgan, Lane, and Coltant) jump in to help with sanding, staining, and loading up cabinets when deadlines approach. They are excited and very busy getting ready for their open house and customer appreciation April 28 and 29.
Office hours will be 7 a.m.-
5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Fridays.
