Beginning Wednesday evening, September 16 at 6:00 p.m., 9th/10th Avenue from 4th Street to St Germain Street will close for construction work on the Lake George bridge. This portion of the roadway will reopen to traffic at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, September 17. The closure will be repeated on Thursday evening, September 17, at 6:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18 to allow crews to complete this work.
The prime contractor will also be closing the 8th Avenue and 1st Street intersection for planned construction work. This closure will begin on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:00 a.m. and will remain closed until early October.
Local businesses and City/Church parking along 1st Street will have access from northbound 9th/10th Avenue only, during the day. These same businesses and City/Church parking will have southbound 9th/10th Avenue access only, during the night time closures.
