Hildegard Kunkel, age 77, formerly of Kimball, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000, at Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball with Rev. Frank Tomasiewicz officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball with Rev. Frank Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday and 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel in Kimball.
Hildegard I. Kunkel was born on June 5, 1923, at Collegeville to John and Catherine (Jensen) Ressemann. She married Alfred P. Kunkel on May 23, 1944, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Collegeville. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1994. She lived most of her lifetime in the Kimball area where she and her husband farmed for 50 years. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Kunkel was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, infant son Alfred, two brothers John and Joseph Ressemann, and two sisters Bertha Rueter-Pyka and Irene Dillon-Ewers.
She is survived by six children and their spouses: Alfred Jr. “Butch” (and Mildred) of Darwin, Angeline Harms of Eagan, Paul (and Mary Ann) of Cold Spring, Rose Ann Johnson of Winsted, Audrey (and LeRoy) Pflueger of Albany, Catherine (and Richard) Pflueger of Paynesville; sisters, brother and their spouses: Rose Sabrowsky of Paynesville, Oliva (and Eugene) Schwegel of Waite Park, Lucille Neu of Waite Park, Bernice Jansen of Waite Park, Verena (and Oliver) Hennen of St. Cloud, Tony (and Renee) Ressemann of Cold Spring; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Kent Finberg, Matt Johnson, Andrea Pundsack, Daniel Pflueger, Todd Kunkel and James Kunkel. Music will be provided by St. Anne’s choir with Mary Streit organist.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
