Hirman to run for re-election

Mike Hirman, Meeker County sheriff, announces that he will run for re-election in November. He has been the Meeker County sheriff for the past 20 years. Hirman lists some of the accomplishments he has made in the past years as: implementing monthly meetings with county-wide chiefs of police; contracting police service for the city of Grove City; equipping all police and county squad cars with mobile computers; participating in Safe & Sober Programs – receiving federal dollars to cover the cost of the program; implementing the Chaplain Program for the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office; implementing a Bad Check Restitution Program; starting Driver’s Awareness classes; and continuing close working relations with all county departments, the county commissioners, along with state and local law enforcement officers. Hirman has lived in Meeker County the past 35 years with his wife Sandy. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
