Students at Holy Cross School at Pearl Lake (Marty) were recently honored. Receiving awards in the Father Tony Essay Contest “What Does It Mean For a Person My Age to Be a Disicple of Jesus?” were: Maddie Howard (first place for 3rd-4th grade), Madison Schreifels (third place 3rd-4th grade), Hannah Kunkel (second place 3rd-4th grade), Hollie Donnay (first place for 5th-6th grade), Justin Kunkel (third place for 5th-6th grade) and Erin Wicker (second place for 5th-6th grade). Caleb Anderson was school Spelling Bee champion and National Georgraphy Bee school champion. Essay winners received a certificate and cash prizes of $50, $20 and $10.
