A great fundraising effort took place at the Main Street Pub Saturday, June 19. Watkins and Kimball residents came together in support of 4-year-old JaDyn Nohner who was injured in a car accident in April. Family, friends and patrons attended a silent auction, meat raffle and buffet. The homemade buffet was prepared by Melinda Berscheid and Deb Reinert, and netted $63 in a free-will donation basket. There were 43 items in the silent auction with bids adding up to $1,615. Extra cash and check donations were $410. The 26-spin meat raffle donated by Knaus Sausage House contributed an additional $420. The event raised a total of $2,508 in about four hours. The money goes directly to the JaDyn Nohner fund at the State Bank of Kimball. This fund is still open for public donations to help pay JaDyn’s medical bills. Melinda, Deb and the Main Street Pub would like to thank everyone who participated in the event, as well as those who dropped off cash or check donations.
