James Jewison died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, in his Kimball home. He was 56 years old. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball with Rev. Frank Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends called from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel in Kimball. There was a prayer service at 6 p.m. followed by an American Legion service at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel. James Michael Jewison was born on Dec. 20, 1946, in St. Cloud to William and Hilda (Kaupi) Jewison. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1965 to March 1967. James married Sharon K. Faber on June 19, 1971, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He lived in Kimball since 1979. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, American Legion Post #261 of Kimball, 40/8 Voiture #415 of St. Cloud, and from 1980-1999 he was a member of the Kimball Volunteer Fire Depart-ment. He recently served as manager of the Kimball American Legion Post. James enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and coin collecting. James was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sharon of Kimball; son Doug (and Carmen) of Watkins; daughter Jessica (and Craig) Baumann of Kimball; brother Jerry (and Karen) of St. Peter; sister Catherine (and Christian) Weber of Paynesville; grandchildren Zachary, Hunter, Megan and Ashley. Pallbearers were Jason Unterberger, Art Faber, Gary Faber, Dave Mackereth, Gene Oswald and Dale Ketcher. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
