Last August, Emily Janisch won the National American Miss Minnesota Jr. Teen Cover Girl title, and qualified to attend the national competition in Anaheim, Calif., during Thanksgiving week. At the national competition Janisch competed in several contests with girls from across the United States. She won a total of six trophies and awards including: the advertising competition the Spirit of America award, the first place in the Volunteer Services competition, and a contest during a character lunch at Disneyland. Janisch is a junior at Kimball Area High School and will represent the state of Minnesota at numerous events in Minnesota and several other states.
