Emily Janisch of Watkins was named a state finalist in the junior teen division of the National American Miss Minnesota Pageant held Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 17-18, in Bloomington. With a lot of hard work and the help of many local sponsors, family and friends, Emily came home with the title of National American Miss Minnesota Junior Teen Cover Girl 2003. She will represent the state at many events in Minnesota and the United States. She also has the opportunity to compete at the national pageant in Los Angeles, Calif. over the Thanksgiving holiday. There she will vye for the title of National All-American Miss. Emily would like to thank everyone who helped make this possible and believed in a young girl’s dreams and ambitions.
