Leading wind power service provider offering on-the-job training, no experience needed
IPS Litchfield Service Center is hosting a Job Fair from 10 a.m.-
1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14. The service center, with customers in wind power, power plants, agriculture, mining and other heavy industries, has expanded its service facilities, creating 10 new positions that need to be filled.
According to Michael Doheny, the IPS Litchfield Controller, the jobs pay starting wages between $15-18 an hour, depending on experience, and open the door to careers in the service and repair of large electric motors and generators.
“We’re hiring mechanics, winders and machinists, and IPS specializes in on-the-job training, so good candidates don’t need prior experience. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career with IPS,” Doheny says.
What makes a good candidate? “With strong career advancement opportunities, we’re looking for people who want to learn and grow within our organization,” Doheny added. “IPS offers technical training and professional development, and we have locations in the U.S. and Canada, so a career with us opens up all sorts of possibilities.”
The jobs also come with comprehensive benefits, including medical, vision and dental insurance, profit sharing, a 401k with company match, and the Refer-A-Friend Bonus Program, where associates can earn a cash bonus for referring family and friends for jobs with IPS.
