Joyce Kotzer, 81

Joyce Kotzer of Fair Haven died peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at St. Cloud Hospital. She was 81.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fair Haven.

Joyce Audrey Dahnke was born July 15, 1942, in Fair Haven Township, Stearns County, to Edward and Clara (Brunko) Dahnke. She grew up in Fair Haven, and attended Fair Haven School. On July 18, 1959, she was united in marriage to Victor Kotzer. They made their home in the Fair Haven area where they raised their four children, Julie, Ron, Jan and Tom. Joyce enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and cats, and tending to her flower garden.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Victor, daughter Janice Blascziek, and siblings Fern Foreman and Myron Dahnke.

She is survived by her children Julie (and Wayne) Hentges of South Haven, Ron (and Marie) Kotzer of St. Cloud, and Tom (and Kelly) Kotzer of Clearwater; seven grandchildren Jennifer, Katy, Jackie, Ryan, Kristin, Ashley, and Amy; four great-grandchildren Joseph, Tyler, Tanner, and Jack; significant other Allen “Toby” Vadner; and other family members and friends.

Joyce’s family will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
