July minutes summary from Kimball School Board

The Kimball School Board held their organizational meeting at 6:00 p.m. on July 15, 2020.

The band director presented information regarding a planned music trip for late March, 2021. The board held a closed session on a legal matter until 6:36 p.m.

Upon reopening the meeting, the board approved the consent agenda consisting of approval of the June 17 board minutes, approval of payments, treasurer’s report, annual organizational renewals, and appointments.

The superintendent updated the board on planning for the upcoming school year, the indoor air quality project, MDE and local surveys sent to parents, scheduled a board planning session prior to the August board meeting, discussed updating the fund balance policy, and fund raising requests.

The board approved member compensation at $50, scheduled the dates for monthly board meetings for the year, and scheduled the Truth in Taxation hearing to coincide with the December 16th meeting. They appointed MSHSL representatives, approved the 10-Year Long Term Facilities Revenue and Expenditure Plan, and reviewed Health & Safety Policy #807. Resolutions Designating the Official with Authority to the MDE External User Access System and Establishing Combined Polling Places for any school special elections (Kimball City Hall) were adopted.
