Junior cubs (volleyball) achieve first win

·

Kimball’s junior high volleyball team won its first match this season. It was an exciting afternoon as the young Cubs played good volleyball and served one of their best matches of the season. The team had several set attempts that turned into good plays or “kills.” It was the first match in which the team worked hard on playing role positions and each team member contributed her best effort for the success. Game scores were 25-10; 25-21 and 20-25. Team goals included: less than seven dropped balls, we only had two; serving 70 percent, we achieved 94 percent; 10 set-up attempts which we matched; five kills, we did not have any; and winning two games, which allowed us to win the match. Two other skills we worked on were communication and transitioning; we are all improving and our victory us proof of that! Good luck with your remaining game at Howard Lake-Waverly on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
