Junior high volleyball

·

Kimball’s junior high volleyball teams hosted Howard Lake-Waverly after school Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Leo Wirth gym. The young Cubs continued to display an advanced level of skills compared to their opponents. Our success may not always show up in the win column, however, we are constantly improving our knowledge and skill level of the game. We reached an all season high of 15 set attempts and our goal was only eight. Five of our attempts were good hits and we only had one kill but we are striving to be aggressive and attack. Skill areas that need to be worked on are our overhand serves, which are getting better every practice, our dropped balls keep haunting us and, of course, winning a match! Our game scores were: 23-25; 13-25; 25-6; 11-25. We work hard at every aspect of the game and know we will be assets to the future of Kimball volleyball!
