JV Football downed by EV-W

·

On Monday, Sept. 19, the Cub JV football team hosted the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles and the game did not hold up in Kimball’s favor. The Cubs have struggled against good competition and this night would be more of the same.  To start the game, Kimball moved the ball on offense, but a very stingy EV-W defense that wouldn’t allow the Cubs past mid-field. It would be a busy day for sophomore long snapper, Anthony Laabs and freshman punter, Brandon Shonyo. The duo worked to get nine punts away for possible yardage.  Kimball wavered on defense against the Eagles, as their running game punished Cub defenders. After the dust cleared, EV-W defeated Kimball 50-0.  The Cubs look to rebound against the HLW-W Lakers on Sept. 26, in Howard Lake. Thank you for supporting Kimball Football.
