The Kimball Area High School JV1 Knowledge Bowl team took first place out of nine teams at the Eden Valley-Watkins meet Wednesday, Feb. 3. They were able to secure first place by a fantastic final round which bumped them up from second. Other teams included EV-W, HL-W-W, Mayer Lutheran, Melrose, B-B-E, other Kimball teams, and Litchfield.
Kimball’s JV1 team consists of sophomore Dustin Opatz, freshmen Jon Bisila, and Katelyn Lichte; and eighth-graders Erin Diffley and Shelby Schiefelbein.
Their next competition is at HL-W-W Wednesday, Feb. 17, and will finish the season at home Thursday, Feb. 25.
