The boys lived up to the Star Wars theme of May the Fourth be with you; as they again finished first in a CMC meet at the Kimball Golf Club. The team?Äôs score of 178 was a one-stroke improvement from the recent Pierz meet. The team is now leading the conference with a total score of 357. Medalist for the day was Jordan Wagner of Paynesville, shooting a 40. Kimball?Äôs Drew Gustafson also came in with an impressive 40, and had a tough loss in a second round tie-break. Other highlights included four pars for Nathan Vossen (42), a birdie and 4 pars for Gustafson, 2 pars for Jack Bates (50), a par for Grant Kahlstorf (46), a par for Ben Zipoy (50), and a par for Branson Jensen (52).
?ÄúThe team has built some great momentum and is playing very well. Everyone is making great improvements since our first meet, and we plan to keep making improvements and building on the successes that everyone is having. We currently have the top three boys in the conference (Sandquist, Gustafson, and Vossen). Things are looking very good for the boys this year, I am very happy with how they are performing,?Äù Coach Zach Boser said.
