Facing a 4-shot deficit heading into Day 2 of the Section 6AA Tournament, K/EV-W junior Avery Maus shot a personal best 78 to leapfrog into the 2023 Girl’s State Golf Tournament next week in Jordan, Minn. The tournament will have been played at the time of this publication, and it took place on Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan on Tuesday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 14. The top team in the Section and the Top 5 girls in the field not on the top team advance to the state tournament.
The K/EV-W girl’s golf team took 7th in the Section 6AA Meet at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell. It is the top four teams that advance from Day 1, and the top eight golfers who are not part of the four winning teams advance to Day 2 of Sections.
