The month of April has been very busy for the Kimball Area National Honor Society. They started off the month cleaning the Kimball Fire Hall Saturday April 14. A small group of NHS members did some spring cleaning in the fire hall, vaccuming and such. The next event on the April calendar for the group was the Junior High dance Friday April 20. The NHS members hosted a dance for the seventh and eighth graders at the High School cafetorium. The proceeds from the event are going to be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The students danced the night away for a great cause! The last project scheduled to be completed in April was ditch cleaning. The Kimball Area NHS holds a two-mile stretch of highway through the Adopt-a-Highway program in Eden Valley. On a cold and cloudy saturday afternoon (Saturday, April 28), the NHS members picked the ditches spotless, concluding the April events for the group. They have a few more projects coming up in May before the NHS members wrap up their year. Keep an eye out for more articles discussing their final community service projects.
