Chris Barthel and Catherine Jurgens from the Kimball Area High School Arts Club were crowned Snow Days King and Queen during coronation ceremonies Friday, Feb. 3, in KAHS catetorium. Other candidates included: Patrick Hancock and Krystal Mackereth from the National Honor Society; Samatha Stewart-James and Brian Johnson from the prom committee; Brad Schindele and Nicole Bryce from choir; Ricky Diffley and Amanda Kuseske from Student Government; Mitch Zaleski and Brittnay Simmons from speech; and Sonny Schiefelbein and Nathan Pramann from FFA. KAHS celebrated its annual Snow Days last week, with events that ran Monday-Saturday, Jan. 29-Feb. 3. Daily events included: Monday – voting for Snow Days royalty and the obstacle course; Tuesday – medallion hunt; Wednesday – Costume Day; Thursday – skits in the afternoon; Friday – coronation in the cafetorium; Saturday – the Snow Days dance was postponed because of weather and will be rescheduled at a later date.
