KAHS Dessert Dash and Scholarship Awards Ceremony

The Kimball Senior Scholarship Organization held their annual Dessert Dash and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 7, in the Kimball Area High School cafetorium.
New this year was a motivational presentation by three-time Paralympian Aaron Cross.
For the Dessert Dash, scholarship recipients brought a dessert to be chosen by a table winning the highest auction bid. The Dessert Dash auction raised more than $3,400 which will be used to help fund next year’s scholarships.
The Awards Ceremony immediately followed the Dessert Dash. There were 26 scholarship recipients this year. Each student received at least $1,200, with a grand total of $38,500 awarded throughout the evening from Kimball Senior Scholarship Organization.
Independent scholarships also were awarded at the Awards Ceremony. Independent scholarships were from Arvig to Jordyn Theis, Louis Roberg Trust to Zoe Stuve and Joceyln Zoller, Northern Star Scouting Eagle Scout to Jonathan Serbus, and Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Auxiliary Post 5460 to Jonathan Serbus.
Honor cords were awarded to deserving Class of 2025 graduates: Elaina Fink, Maleah Loch, Jordyn Theis, Jocelyn Zoller, Adelle Tubridy, Elliotte Becker, Zoe Stuve, Laney Laudenbach, Hank Meyer, Samantha Winter, Zoe Hommerding, Lily VonWahlde, Hunter Gebhardt, Isabelle Schmitz, and Daisie Pramann.
The Kimball Senior Scholarship Organization would like to thank everyone who helped support our mission this year. With the community’s support, we were able to reach our goal of giving each applicant a scholarship. The Kimball Senior Scholarship Organization consists of volunteer committee members. New volunteers are welcome to join us at our monthly meeting. More information can be found on the Kimball School’s website or their Facebook page.
