Eighth-graders who received the Presidential Academic Achievement Award were Kayla Kastanek, Allison Konz, Amanda Kuseske, Eric Nystrom, Derek Orbeck, Joanna Wessling and Matthew Zwilling. Principal’s advisory committee Six students were recognized for their participation on the principal’s advisory committee. They are eighth-graders Jodi Foley, Kayla Kastanek, Jamie Krantz and Matt Zwilling, and seventh-graders Sarah Powell and Steve Sheldon. Essay winners Jill Messer, Amanda Kuseske and Zach Kuseske were winners of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police essay contest about school violence. Nate Harter was the winner of a Minnesota State Trooper essay contest. Math recognition Math Counts members were Courtney Colwill, Heather Ryan, Josh Heath, Joanna Wessling and Kelsey Klein.
