KAHS student government news

Though the 2002-03 school year ended several weeks ago, student government members for the 2003-04 school year have been announced. The 2003-04 representatives are seniors Brianna Libbesmeier, Kelly Lochen, Sarah Gohman and Tanya Remer; juniors Amelia Hentges, Alison Ecker, Ashley Caird, Aaron Dahlinger and Erich Deutsch; sophomores Kayla Hinkemeyer, Mandy Libbesmeier and Kevin Sommers; and freshmen Jeff Hunt, Jeff Miller and Logan Bever. Officers were chosen and informed of their duties in the last week of school. Officers are Brianna Libbesmeier as president, Amelia Hentges as vice-president, Ashley Caird as secretary and Alison Ecker as historian. Staff advisor for the year is Mrs. Winter (Koetter). We said our goodbyes to our friends and mentors at the end-of-year student government banquet. Graduating senior members of student government were Amanda Hentges, Jenny Kunkel, Brady Knaeble, Craig Henneman and Tammy Kuechle. These seniors made student government meetings and activities a blast and created many unforgettable memories. They will be sorely missed. Not only did we say goodbye to our senior members, but also to a very important person. The student government advisor for the past two years, Jon Albert, will not be with us next year. He has made many positive changes to Kimball Area High School. Thanks, Jon, for all you’ve done for us. Another article will be written following the first official meeting of the 2003-04 student government. Have a fun and safe summer.
